The "Molino delle Galere" property belongs to a natural enviroment in the outskirts of Montecatini Terme, one of Europe's prominent health centers. With an adjacent hog-backed stone-bridge.
The former 16th century wheat-mill, then converted in an oil-mill has been recently restored to lodge 8 people in two Tuscany-styled furnished apartments. The premises provide a good opportunity for a relaxing stay in a river ecosystem and for outdoor activities such as: fishing in a nearby lake, trekking through the surrounding hills.
Not to mention all cultural, educational and outdoor activities that we can organise in collaboration with Ecotouring Tuscany..!

We offer several specialized all-inclusive hands-on cookery courses with a few spectacular excursions included: A Tuscan cookery course, A classic Italian cookery course; and an Italian Mediterranean cookery course covering the flavours of not only Italy but also the French,
Spanish and Moroccan kitchen.
All courses can be tailored according to clients needs and schedules: they can either be concentrated in one single day or as long a full week.
Our chefs believe that the only way to learn to cook is to do it yourself. While Giuseppe and his other chefs will demonstrate the techniques, be prepared to roll up your sleeves and put what you have seen into practice. The lessons are informal and the chefs are flexible and willing to add those special dishes you always wanted to learn to make.
The cooking weeks at the Mill can begin every single day of the week. You will have cooking lessons on 4 of the days with enough time to relax and enjoy the surroundings or to do some sight seeing in the area.
A one-day excursion is organized with visits to some local cheese and other food processing factories,as well as an olive oil mill for oil tasting. It also includes wine tasting and lunch at a vineyard near Lucca, time for shopping in Florence or sightseeing. The end of the day is rounded off with a dinner in a Rustic Tuscan restaurant in the Tuscan countryside.
It is also possible to bring along a non-participating partner who can spend the day enjoying the surroundings, sightseeing or playing golf and could then join the group at dinnertime and join in the excursion.
For each type of weekly course you will receive a cookbook including recipes of all the dishes made during your stay, an exclusive apron and a certificate on completion of the course. The chefs have chosen dishes that can easily be made at home and using ingredients that you generally can also find in most specialty or general stores.
All cookery courses are offered by Giuseppe Mazzocchi in the Molino delle Galere, which has a professional kitchen specially designed to ensure that everyone has enough space to roll up their sleeves and get to work.
